PRIMARY
SCHOOL
THE
SCHOOL
Nestled in the mountains of Mpemba, close to the village of Davide in southern Malawi, Livingstone Primary School is a lively place of learning and community. Children from 11 surrounding villages come here to receive their education, many walking long distances each day to attend.
The school provides classes from Grade 1 through Grade 8, giving children the opportunity to complete their entire primary education in one place. Although the school was originally designed for 400 pupils, it can accommodate up to 800 children when a shift system is used.
At the heart of Livingstone Primary is a dedicated team of 27 teachers and staff members. They work tirelessly to support the students, not only in their studies but also in building confidence, curiosity, and hope for the future.

THE
HISTORY
We (a Munich Couple) have been fortunate in many ways throughout our lives. Over time, the wish grew to share some of this fortune with people who have fewer opportunities. With the support of the organizations Fly & Help and the ABC Society, we decided in 2022 to begin building Livingstone Primary School.
Within just a few months, the land was purchased, negotiations successfully finished, the plans were finalized, and - with the help of many volunteers from the surrounding villages - the school was completed and inaugurated in the same year.
Our involvement continues, both in supporting the daily life of the school and in planning further development. Will this be our last project? Most likely not - we are already planning another wonderful adventure…
